The total savings is deriving the savings for sewage treatment cost savings from eliminating groundwater leakage in the chimney section of each properly repaired manhole.  It is also factoring in the 20 year lifespan of the Mr. Manhole repair and comparing it to the shorter lifespan of the old repair methods.
