Rebuild Method for Manhole Repair

Rebuild and Repair Manholes Faster, Smarter and Safer.

We understand that engineering is costly, and testing to develop specifications in the field takes time and resources that many cities are not prepared to commit.

Since 2002, Mr. Manhole has been doing one thing: adjusting manhole frames and lids. Our installers have completed over 75,000 successful repairs, and we have taken that experience and produced a set of free engineering specifications that your city can adopt.

Mr. Manhole offers specifications for a variety of scenarios you may encounter in the field. If you prefer to have asphalt at the road surface, or if you prefer a monolithic repair with concrete from the manhole cone to the road surface, or perhaps you deal with masonry structures, we offer specifications for all of these scenarios and a few more. We have Engineering Specifications and MSDS for all the Mr. Manhole repair materials on this page.

There are many ways to adjust manhole frames and lids, from a quick height adjustment to a thorough adjustment that eliminates leakage. Any method you choose will require the frame to be removed from the road before the rebuild process starts. We are here to help you find the methods that meet your needs.

The Mr. Manhole line of cutters is perfect for cutting and removing manhole frames and lids. Any rebuild method you select will require cutting and removing the manhole frame and lid.

As a professional, you are familiar with precast concrete adjusting rings, newer plastic adjusting rings, and brick and mortar methods. Mr. Manhole takes manhole repair to another level with a series of engineered manhole repair specifications. The design objectives are to eliminate leakage and be very accurate and level with the road surface, provide great durability, ease of installation, and do it at a reasonable cost (see cost savings breakdown).

With an ROI that is solid and predictable, you can have absolute confidence that the methods we offer do exactly what you want and that your manhole repairs will be durable. You will be eliminating leakage, as well as eliminating the constant adjusting due to materials breakdown, and you will be saving dollars. You will save on labor and feel confident in the safety of your repair crews.
